My main interest is in the evolution of educational inequality over time in Israel and elsewhere.
I am also studying Arab-Jewish mixed schools in Jaffa. With Meir Yaish and Limor Egozi-Gabay I am interviewing mothers, students and school personnel in an effort to understand school-choice by families and students, and the effects of school-choice on educational success and on ethno-religious identity.  With Uri Shwed I am studying the structure of students' social networks in Arab-Jewish mixed schools.  In addition, I am studying the role of curricular differentiation in processes of educational and social stratification. In this regard, I am studying recent reforms in Israel's system of vocational secondary education.
